Compliance Without Costing Efficiency

The article’s central argument, and the one that connects directly to what JE builds: a guardrail does not depend on anyone remembering to clip on.

A guardrail, a walkway or an engineered platform protects without requiring the worker to select, inspect and correctly attach equipment first.

03 Where compliance is checked

Four Checkpoints, Not One Sign-Off

On-site assessment
Begin with an assessment of the environment the solution will be used in — confirming the specification and identifying opportunities to improve safety.

Specification review
Before production, a detailed review of the final specification against both general standards and industry-specific requirements.
Output: load ratings, surface materials and guardrail heights fixed.

Design and production reviews
Preliminary and critical design reviews, stringent quality control, and first-article assembly tested extensively for compliance before shipment.
Output: certificate of performance or evidence of materials, where required.

C4

After delivery
Compliance does not end at installation — providers can offer continued inspection of fall protection in service.
Output: optional Fall Protection Inspection Program.
On one recent on-site visit JE observed work in progress and recommended a modification to the specifications, helping the organisation better protect employees working on an aircraft's wing. A fresh set of eyes on the actual environment is the part no drawing review can substitute for.
