On every other project in this portfolio JE holds the geometry. Here the customer held all of it — and the value JE added was everything downstream of the drawing. This band makes that boundary explicit, because it is the whole engagement.

Why zero interpretation is harder than it sounds

In build-to-print work, success depends on disciplined execution, not design interpretation.

A fabricator who improves a detail has failed the brief. So has one whose second unit differs from the first. There is no design latitude to absorb a process that drifts — which is why this engagement is a test of controlled fabrication rather than of engineering judgement.
