The challenge

Many Vehicles, Many Heights, One Depot Floor

Ground vehicles with elevated weapon systems and artillery mounts require maintainers to work at varying heights and positions. The depot needed one platform capable of supporting multiple vehicle configurations rather than relying on several specialized access products.
Every specialized stand a depot buys is another item to store, maintain, and move — which is why consolidation was a requirement here, not a nice-to-have.
Mobile, adjustable, and repositionable — the three properties that let one platform replace several.

Constraint 01

Multiple vehicle configurations

Needed to accommodate a wide range of vehicles and mount types.

Constraint 02

Varying work heights

Maintainers needed adjustable positioning, not a single fixed height.

Constraint 03

Consolidation requirement

The depot wanted one flexible platform instead of many specialized ones.

The solution

One Adjustable Platform Instead of a Fleet of Fixed Ones

JE engineered the Universal Deployable Platform as a mobile, adjustable access system that positions maintainers, tools, and materials exactly where needed — designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in the United States for durable, long-term depot sustainment use.
Depot floor before and after // access inventory 4 → 1
Before Specialized products One stand per configuration, each at a fixed height
Config A Config B Config C Config D
After One UDP Same platform, adjusted to each configuration

The four fixed stands are four purchases, four storage footprints, and four maintenance items. The UDP is one — repositioned and re-set rather than swapped out.

S1

Adjustable working heights

Configurable to different maintenance elevations and work zones, so one platform covers what several fixed stands would.

S2

Mobile, multi-configuration design

Repositionable to support a wide range of vehicle and mount configurations across the depot floor.

S3

Made in America

Engineered, manufactured, and assembled in the United States for durable, long-term depot sustainment use.

The result

One Platform Replacing the Need for Multiple Specialized Systems

JE’s Universal Deployable Platform consolidated depot maintenance access into a single mobile, adjustable system — designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in the United States for Red River Army Depot’s ground vehicle sustainment operations.

I1

Flexible maintenance access

Supports multiple vehicle and artillery mount configurations from one system.

I2

Improved maintainer positioning

Personnel work closer to the task while safely supporting tools and materials.

I3

Multi-mission capability

One platform system supporting multiple maintenance applications.

Technical & operational FAQ

Questions About This Project

Q01

Is the UDP designed for a single vehicle type?

No — it’s built to support multiple vehicle and artillery mount configurations, replacing the need for several specialized access products.
Q02

Where is the UDP manufactured?

It is designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in the United States.
Q03

What makes one platform able to replace several fixed stands?

Adjustable working heights combined with a mobile, multi-configuration design. Rather than matching a stand to a vehicle, the same platform is repositioned and re-set to the working height each configuration needs.

Consolidating Your Own Access Inventory?

If your floor is carrying several fixed stands where one adjustable platform would do, that’s the conversation this project started with.
